Filmmaker Ashwni Dhir’s son Jalaj Dhir died in a car crash in Mumbai. The 18-year-old went for a drive with three of his friends on the Western Express Highway at Vile Parle. The accident took place on November 23.

Jalaj Dhir went for a drive with three of his friends — Sahil Mendha (18), Sarth Kaushik (18), and Jedan Jimmy (18). As per reports, Sahil was driving the car. He was drunk and lost control of the vehicle near the Sahara Star Hotel. He rammed the vehicle into a divider.
Jedan and Sahil both survived the accident with very minor wounds. Sarth and Jalaj, who were in the back seat, suffered severe injuries. After being brought to the hospital, they passed away. Jalaj was initially brought to Jogeshwari East and then moved to Kokilaben Hospital, where medical professionals pronounced him deceased.
According to reports, Jimmy stated that Sahil returned to Jalaj’s house by 11 p.m. on November 22 after drinking alcohol at a friend’s house. In the early hours of November 23, at around 3.30 am, they decided to take a drive. Sahil took Jedan’s place behind the wheel, and they arrived in Bandra around 4:10 a.m.
Jimmy claims that Sahil drove the vehicle between 120 and 150 km/h on the way back. The Mumbai Police took Sahil into custody in response to Jedan’s accusation. Tests have already been conducted on his blood samples.
